Position Overview
Vantem is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join our team in Raleigh, NC. This position is vital to our mission of delivering sustainable and cost-effective construction solutions. The Senior Estimator will develop detailed cost estimates, ensure accuracy in project budgeting, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support project success.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct site visits to gather data and ensure the accuracy of cost estimates.
- Analyze blueprints, project specifications, and other materials to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Develop comprehensive cost estimates using industry-standard software and manual calculations.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure alignment on project costs.
- Present estimates to clients, contractors, and internal teams for review and approval.
- Monitor construction progress, adjusting estimates as necessary to account for changes in scope or costs.
- Stay up-to-date with local building codes, regulations, and industry best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in construction estimating, with modular construction experience preferred.
- Proficiency in industry-standard software, such as PlanSwift, On-Screen Takeoff, and Bluebeam Revu.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and cost estimation techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Certification as a Certified Professional Estimator (CPE) is a plus.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
- Detail-oriented, with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines under pressure.
