Position Overview
Vantem is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Estimator with at least 5 years of experience in construction or modular estimating. This role will support cost planning, quantity takeoffs, and project presentations—playing a key role in both internal due diligence and client-facing deliverables. Ideal candidates will be skilled in construction estimating and confident presenting to developers with clear, visual, and data-backed materials.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform accurate quantity takeoffs and assist in detailed cost estimates.
- Build and maintain estimating spreadsheets and track bids across multiple projects.
- Prepare technical documentation for both internal review and external client use.
- Create compelling presentations for developers, including layout renderings, budgets, and narratives.
- Assist with plan review and provide input on layout, modular fit, and cost implications.
- Coordinate with internal teams (Engineering, Procurement, Design) and external consultants for due diligence efforts.
- Support development teams during pre-construction and early-stage planning.
- Contribute to pricing strategy, proposal packages, and RFP responses.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in construction or modular estimating.
- Strong skills in Excel, estimating software, and presentation tools (e.g., PowerPoint, InDesign, or similar).
- Familiarity with architectural plans, construction drawings, and quantity takeoffs.
- Ability to present and explain technical and financial information clearly to both internal stakeholders and clients.
- Proficiency with rendering tools or layout visualization is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field preferred.
